Zurich restructure puts 240 people at risk of redundancy

The insurer has begun consultation with employees as it proposes to remove jobs from the UK as the business is restructured.

Zurich has proposed to cut 240 jobs in the UK as it restructures the business.

According to the insurer consultation has begun with the affected employees.

The provider said in a statement: "It is anticipated that roles will be largely removed from back office and non-market facing areas, such as finance, operations and marketing.

"These functions have in part been run separately for life and general insurance in the past, and there are roles which can be merged."

The news comes as Zurich
