MS Amlin picks Belgium as post-Brexit hub

According to the firm the change is expected to be completed in time for 2019 renewals.

MS Amlin is moving its European business, Amlin Insurance Societas Europaea (AISE), to Belgium in response to Brexit.

The insurer’s global headquarters will stay in London.

The decision is the latest in a string of changes in the insurance market as the sector prepares to cope with the consequences of the vote to leave the EU.

Earlier this month QBE announced it will create a new subsidiary in Belgium and CNA Hardy and RSA both chose to have bases in Luxembourg.

In May Markel said it
