Home insurance premiums fall after Covid-19 lockdown

Figures from Consumer Intelligence shows average buildings and contents policies fell by 0.3% in the last three months.

The average buildings and contents policy has fallen by 0.3% in the last three months as a result of the coronavirus lockdown, according to Consumer Intelligence.

The organisation stated that a steep drop in recorded crime since the start of the lockdown contributed to the downward shift, as fewer claims were reported due to people staying at home more.
