Forging ahead: It’s been a tough year, but the broking community will build back stronger
Well, what a year it has been. This time in 2019 we had no idea what was heading towards us.
It has been a difficult time for everybody. Insurance has had to face down the reputational issues arising from the Covid-19 business interruption court case and it has been good to see the broker community standing up for their clients throughout.
As we head into Christmas with renewed faith, I know that brokers, with their endless supply of positivity and drive, will overcome the obstacles

FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m
The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has indicated its levy for 2025/26 will rise to £394m from £265m this financial year as it cited having lower surpluses to carry forward and offset bills – a factor that has benefited brokers for two years in a row.
