The entertainment and media sector was massively impacted by Covid-19 as many events and productions ground to a halt. As it recovers, Ed Murray looks at changing risk profiles and challenges brokers need to factor in when placing business in the space

In its recent research paper, UK Entertainment and Media Outlook 2022-2026, consultancy PwC said: “While there is short-term uncertainty in the market, there is greater confidence and growth to be found in the long-term direction of the UK’s entertainment and media industry.”

PwC said the UK entertainment and media sector would achieve annual revenue of £96bn by 2026, putting it in the top spot for Europe.

But as the sector recovers from the pandemic and leans into a cost-of-living crisis
