Aviva ramps up cyber push with micro-SME cover from £50

Aviva today launched its Cyber Respond product, imploring brokers to help educate and reduce ‘apathy’ among the massively underinsured micro business community.

Available from the end of October, this new cover will be available from £50 minimum per annum plus insurance premium tax, compared to £200 PA for standard cyber cover. The product will provide basic cover for micro SMEs. Notably, it removes the all-inclusive cover aimed at larger companies such as liability. It is no excess as standard.

The product will cover data breaches, hacks and viruses. It has been designed for businesses that are exposed to cyber threats, but do not have the capabilities
