The broker-only syndicate Oxford, which was due to start trading last
month, has delayed its launch until September.


The company, which was set up by ex-Link underwriter George Higginson and
former Wellington underwriter Steve Windich, has received 200 applications
and £750,000 in cash. This is less than the 500 brokers and £1.5m cash the
syndicate had hoped to begin trading with.


Oxford has cancelled its application for Lloyd's regulatory approval, and
will now resubmit the application for a
