Hamish Ritchie, chairman of the British Insurance Brokers' Institute,
took up his new position with aplomb at the Scottish BIBA conference, and
showed he is a man who moves with the times. "This is my first outing and
I'm pleased it has happened in Scotland," he said. "I'm aware that the
phrase has taken on a different meaning these days."


Peter Hubbard, chief executive of Axa, was also in fine form at
Peebles.
