NU and Cornhill are backing a new venture called Personal InsurancePlan. The insurers are underwriting PIP household insurance policies and
providing 24-hour claims helplines. PIP was formed two months ago in a
joint venture by brokers BCML Connect and service company Homes Services
GB. PIP provides household and motor insurance policies, which are sold
via utilities companies such as Thames Water.
