For the smaller broker, recruiting staff is a difficult and often
unscientific business. Clive King, managing director at Clive King and
Partners, says: "Firms like us, with a head count of about 30 or less,
find it very difficult. If you are bigger, say 60 or 70 staff, you might
be able to have a dedicated person looking after recruitment. The bigger
you are, the more resources you have for recruitment."
