Sheffield broker Evans Charles Stevens has been forced out of the
Broker Alliance following the resignation of the firm's chief executive,
Steve Beeley.

Mr Beeley was the inspiration behind the alliance of six Yorkshire brokers
which was established at the beginning of 1997 in order to share best
practice and pool resources for training and marketing.

Mr Beeley left Evans Charles Stevens in April in order to set up a
management consultancy. This resulted in the firm being told to leave the
alliance
