CGU has gone live with its merged general insurance operation and has
started the process of launching personal lines products under the new
corporate brand.


Cees Schrauwers, managing director of CGU, told PB that from the beginning
of this month, CGU's brokers and intermediaries will be sent a single
accounting statement. This replaces all the individual statements
previously sent out by General Accident and Commercial Union.


Mr Schrauwers stressed that the personal lines range would not simply be
