One of the leading names in broking has announced more cost cutting strategies.

Over 6% of Aon's global workforce will be axed as the broker aims to deliver between $50 to $70m of savings in 2008, $175 to 200m in 2009 and $240m of annualised savings in 2010. The broker said in a statement that it plans to "eliminate 2,700 predominantly non-client facing roles" while also offshoring or outsourcing 1,100 positions.
