The Personal Financial Services Division of Royal & SunAlliance has
broken through the £100m barrier for new business transacted via
electronic data interchange (EDI).


The insurer said that between January and October of last year, brokers
and intermediaries processed approximately 300,000 new RSA policies via
EDI. Of this, 27% were full cycle with brokers taking responsibility for
policy servicing and renewals.


The AA is also making great strides with EDI, launching new business
quotations for all
