Why is it necessary for the General Insurance Standards Council,Financial Services Authority and the Association of British Insurers to
all have different minimum requirements in respect of professional
indemnity (£1m, £0.5m and £0.25m, respectively)?
When raising this issue I was told the minimum limited was demanded by its
members - a strange reply.
Surely the three regulators should agree a common minimum limit - or are
such cost-saving matters of no concern to them? A more professional
approach
