Following on from last month's look at ADSL technology, I shall nowshare my thoughts on WAP - Wireless Application Protocol.
This is a specification for a set of communication protocols to
standardise the way that wireless devices, such as a cellular telephones
and radio transceivers, can be used for Internet access, including e-mail,
the Worldwide Web, Newsgroups and Internet Relay Chat (IRC).
It was conceived by four companies, Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia and Unwired
Planet (now Phone.com).
