Troubles at Transtec and Versailles have highlighted the tanglescompany directors get into when the receivers are called in. But these are
nothing to the problems they face when an employee is killed at work, or
when members of the public die because of their negligence. They might end
up on a charge of corporate manslaughter.
This has led brokers to ask directors and officers liability insurers
whether their clients are covered. David Robinson, UK & Ireland executive
risk manager at Chubb, says:
