The necessity of installing an ISDN line for a small brokerage.

Q: I run a small brokerage and am considering upgrading the phone system. Should I invest in an ISDN line and will this improve my email service?

ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) is ultimately more
reliable, better quality, connects quicker and suffers from less
interference than analogue telephony.


Digital services are substantially faster for data transfer. Analogue
lines have a maximum data transfer rate of 56 kilobits per second, while
ISDN can typically provide a 10-fold increase - 512Kbps. In fact, 1mb and
2mb digital are rapidly becoming established.
