The comment from Henry Harris (PB May, p15) is interesting but
highlights something the majority of true professional commercial
insurance brokers have known for some time.


Some of our insurance broking colleagues do not really understand business
interruption insurance or the way in which a sum insured should be
calculated.


Clients confuse net profit with gross profit on a regular basis but
brokers should be able to see through this at a glance and know something
is wrong.
