Roger Taylor has stepped down from the board of the Royal &
SunAlliance Insurance Group. He was appointed executive deputy chairman of
Royal & SunAlliance Insurance Group when Sun Alliance merged with Royal
Insurance in 1996. He relinquished his executive responsibilities at the
end of 1997, but remained on the board as senior adviser to the Group on
external affairs, with an emphasis on China.
