The one result no one wanted, statutory regulation, is the one in store for the insurance industry and the main interest groups have only themselves to blame.
Is there anyone who is satisfied with the current state of play overthe regulation of general insurance sales? The answer is categorically no.
So how on earth have we ended up with statutory regulation - the one
outcome nobody wanted?
