EL upheaval in wake of Woolf.

There were major changes in the employers liability market last year as a result of the Woolf reforms and the Ogden ruling. Shona Cronin says these were addressed at Iron Trades' EL conference.

Last year saw a massive upheaval in the employers' liability
market.


The introduction of the Woolf reforms, the Ogden ruling on personal injury
claims and rehabilitation initiatives all took centre stage in 1999.


Not surprisingly, these issues were all up for discussion at the Iron
Trades Employers' Liability Conf-erence 2000, held in London last
month.
