Delegated authority is the biggest problem in insurance and is costing the industry millions of pounds, according to Julian Ward, managing director of JTW Reinsurance Consultants. Ward estimates that 10% of London Market delegated authority ends in tears, and that the problem costs the industry more than fraud.
