Approximately 500 brokers have agreed to invest in a new
broker-funded personal lines syndicate and managing agency.


The syndicate, formerly known as Berkeley, then Harbour and now renamed
Oxford, is the brainchild of wholesale broker Edgar Hamilton, former Link
underwriter George Higginson and ex-Wellington under-writer Steve
Windich.


The managing agency will be called Higginson and Windich Underwriting
Agents.


The syndicate will write motor and household business and will only trade
with
