The General Insurance Standards Council has drawn up a shortlist of
three candidates for the position of chief executive. It is expected to
make a final decision within the next week or so.


While the names of the candidates are being kept secret, Anthony Howland
Jackson, chairman of the executive committee of GISC, told PB: " It is
likely that the person we choose will be from outside of the insurance
industry."


While the GISC is choosing its first CEO, the Insurance Brokers
Registration Council is
