Unable to compete on price, brokers are recommending youngsters contact supermarkets for cheap quotes. Surely the industry is making a rod for its own back.

Just when we thought some sanity had returned to the motor market,
along comes Tesco. When a supermarket tries to win market share, you would
have thought it would learn from the painful experiences of the
insurers.


Of course, you cannot enter an established market without competitive
rates, but Tesco's pricing shows only too clearly that it is more used to
selling bananas.
