High-performance car insurance is still the domain of a handful of specialists, with only a couple of insurers prepared to enter the big league, says Tim Collison.
The high performance car market is still true broker business. Atpresent, there are virtually no direct insurers offering competitive
premiums for high-performance cars. Most specialist brokers say they
rarely come up against Privilege on high-performance business, although
this may change with the new operational structure that the Royal Bank of
Scotland has created for the direct insurer and its sister company Direct
Line (See PB, March, p1).
