As a past chairman of the Examiner's Committee, Reg Brown is well aware of the need for change at the CII. Tim Collison spoke to him about his plans for his year as president.

The Chartered Insurance Institute is going through a period of
considerable change. It is two thirds of the way through constitutional
reform and midway through both a strategic review and a marketing strategy
review.


Some would say this is an awful lot of navel gazing, but according to Reg
Brown, who next month takes over from Andrew Lund as president of the CII,
it is vital.


Mr Brown, who is managing director of RE Brown & Others, believes
passionately in the CII, but he is also a very fierce
