Italian insurer Generali is to make London the worldwide head office
for its Global operation within the next year.


It is understood that 20 staff will transfer to London from the Insurer's
headquarters in Trieste, to work alongside those recruited locally. London
is the last and most recent office to be opened within the Generali Global
network, following launches over the last 12 months in Frankfurt, Paris,
Madrid, Miami, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
