Vega Insurance Services has announced its second acquisition - Birmingham-based commercial broker Thompson Rudd. All staff and management will be retained to continue to develop the business and will retain its own brand. Founder Paul Thompson will continue as managing director and co-director Paul Fieldhouse will also retain his current role. Thompson Rudd has a premium income of £12m. The deal has more than doubled Vega's premium, which now exceeds £20m.
