Two insurance brokers are in dispute over the ownership of the client
base of collapsed Bury broker Bernard Knope.


London-based broker Alliance Insurance Management bought the book of
business, goodwill and trading name of the troubled broker last month.


However, Norwich Union has appointed The Beckett Group to take over NU
policies sold through Bernard Knope - about two thirds of the book of
business.


A spokesperson for AIM said: "We were talking to Bernard Knope for about a
month before we bought
