A spring in your merger?

This year has already seen a host of mergers - but what about the staff of the companies involved, and how will small brokers be effected by the new mega-insurers?

To paraphrase an old quotation, "In spring, a young man's fancy turns
to ..." mergers and acquisitions?


So far, this year, there have been at least three major ones - Royal Bank
of Scotland and NatWest, CGU and Norwich Union, and the one you may have
missed, my own company's acquisition of a local firm, Millsmith.


Is Ritchie getting even more carried away with himself than usual? you
ask, bracketing all three together. Read on.
