Compass Underwriting, part of IGI Underwriting Agencies, has formed a
new accident and health facility. Compass will be the managing agent for a
new Lloyd's consortium operation. IGI's managing director Andrew Briant
and Compass underwriter John Darling will write the account and will be
offering Lloyd's security through Consortium 9119 for international
personal accident and travel insurance products. The consortium has a
gross capacity of £8.5m for its first year of business.
