The long-awaited Claims Code from the Association of British Insurerswas finally launched last month.
The code, which will come into force on 1 January, sets out the standards
of service an individual making a claim on a general insurance policy can
expect from a member of the ABI.
It will be supported by a benchmarking of companies performance.
The code states, among other things, that policyholders should expect a
