The Institute of Insurance Brokers claims to have signed up 5% of thepersonal lines broker market for its new Internet initiative Insureright
and is on target for launch in October.
Andrew Paddick, director general of the IIB, confirmed that more than the
minimum number of brokerages required for critical mass had applied for a
licence before the cut-off date of 25 April. This entitles them an
automatic shareholding in the company through the Insureright
discretionary trust.
