The Towergate Partnership has announced the acquisition of broker Smith Wingell & Co., based in Northampton.
The business is the 102nd acquisition of the combined Towergate Partnership group in seven years, bringing the total premium of the group to £1.25bn.
Smith Wingell, which currently places £1.5m in commercial and personal lines, will retain its current staff of five, led by founding partners Trevor Wingell and Steve Smith.
As part of Towergate's Hub and Spoke regional model, Smith Wingell
