John O'Roarke tells Diane Smyth why Churchill believes in keeping its fingers in as many pies as possible, managing all four aspects of insurance and differentiating on service by refusing to outsource.

The Churchill Group is best known as a direct insurer but in fact
only 17% of the group's premium volume is branded with the famous nodding
dog. The group sells 80% of its products via intermediaries and owns the
broker-only insurer NIG.
