Talk of the e-revolution.

New technology was the theme dominating this year's BIBA conference, with some delegates welcoming the internet explosion and others being more cautious. However, all agreed that yet more change was afoot. Catherine Tennant and Diane Smyth report.

George Nixon welcomed delegates to the British Insurance Brokers'
Association conference, held at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast, by saying
the market "has never been so good for brokers".

Mr Nixon urged intermediaries to take advantage of modern technology,
which he said offered the opportunity to enhance service and eliminate
administration costs. He also assured brokers BIBA will help them
negotiate the IT systems on offer, with a newly launched advice
service.
