Three Yorkshire brokers have merged to form the ProAktive Group. Atkinson Smith and Rixon Matthews Appleyard have fully merged and DE Ford has taken a shareholding in the new broker.
The ProAktive Group has a combined premium income of more than £40m but hopes to expand by acquiring commercial brokers in the area with around £10m premium income.
