Regulation by the Financial Services Authority is the primary worry among brokers, according to research by Norwich Union. Its bi-annual survey revealed that 17% of brokers see FSA regulation as their greatest challenge.
Family-run brokers and smaller, independent brokers are particularly pessimistic about the incoming regulations. The survey also found almost two-thirds of broker businesses are planning to expand in the next 12 months and 85% are optimistic about the future.
