Fortis UK reported overall gross written premiums for the third quarter 2005 of £453m, an increase of 3% over the same period last year, £442m.

Growth had been particularly strong in travel and commercial lines with a year-on-year increase of 42% to £38.5m, compared with £27.1m for travel, and a 21% increase in commercial lines to £42.3m from £37.8m during the same period last year.
