The boards of Angerstein and Murray Lawrence have reached agreementin principal to merge to create a new Lloyd's insurance business with a
capacity of £644m for 1998. Richard Keeling, Murray Lawrence's executive
chairman, will become chief executive of the new company. John Stace will
be deputy chief executive and Roger Taylor, deputy chairman of Royal &
SunAlliance, will join as the new non-executive chairman.
