Coversure has made a success out of its franchising operation and now the company is looking to expand further, Mark Coverdale, its chairman, tells Tim Collison.
Franchising has never really made much of an impact on the insurancebroking market. High street intermediary Swintons has, in the past,
offered franchises, but this was never really part of its core philosophy.
However, one firm which has made a success out of franchising is
Coversure.
Set up in October 1986, Coversure now boasts 49 branches nationwide
generating a turnover of about £24m. It also sells a range of personal
lines products over the Internet.
