The UK commercial division of Zurich Financial Services - the companyformed from the merger of the Zurich Insurance Group and British American
Financial Services - has culled about 2500 agencies and unveiled a brand
new approach to servicing commercial business for its remaining brokers
and intermediaries.
At the end of last year, over 2000 Eagle Star (BAFS) agencies were put
into run-off, largely because the amount of business being placed was
deemed to be too small to administer cost effectively
