Q: We have Microsoft's Office 97 suite on our existing PCs but I have
read this is no longer available as it has changed its software licensing
method. What should we do for any new PCs?


A: Microsoft is intending to restrict the way it sells software
licences.


Most small offices used to purchase Microsoft software licences outright,
so the software costs nothing extra to run after the initial fee.


For some time, however, Microsoft has offered other initiatives such as
the Open Licence initiative

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
