The former senior management of NIG's commercial arm intend to take on the mainstream insurance company market with a new SME-targeted underwriting agency backed by two Lloyd's insurers.
Equity and Canopius have invested in the venture, as yet to be named. It is headed by former NIG commercial managing director Charles Earle as chief executive and ex-NIG commercial director Lyn Carslake as deputy CEO.
