Nigel Hanbury, chief executive of Hampden Agencies, told delegates at the Lloyd's '12 Months On' conference that third-party capital hadre-established itself and remained important to Lloyd's future.Third-party capital diversifies Lloyd's capital base, strengthens the Central Fund, acts independently at times of crisis and is a vital backer of syndicate start-ups, he said. Of the near-£15bn in capacity at Lloyd's, 19% comes from individual investors with approximately 25% of its overall capacity
