Broker giant Aon has opened new offices in Cardiff, to speed up the processing of Welsh miners' industrial disease compensation claims.Some 30 000 respiratory disease claims are being transferred to Cardiff, and Aon hopes to transfer all the claims by October. A further 10 000 vibration white finger and other disease claims for Welsh miners will be transferred in early 2002. Aon plans to take on 50 staff by October and a further 20 at the beginning of 2002.
