Swiss Re's sixth annual report on the UK non-life market warns that
the personal lines market is failing to keep up with technological
advances and is losing touch with its customers.


The Insurance Report, published on 6 July, says the personal lines market
has been "tardy in embracing new technology on a large scale". The report
states: "a mere 20% of brokers currently have their own website and only
35% are internet-connected."


The report also draws insurers' attention to a survey by software
