Kevin Pallett, managing director of Fusion Underwriting Services, hasstated his company knew nothing of the problems at Independent
Insurance.
Mr Pallett left Independent to establish Fusion in April 2000, with fellow
assistant general manager Geoff Crisp. Fusion includes six ex-Independent
members of staff, all of whom joined before Michael Bright stepped
down.
Mr Pallet stated some of the ex-Independent directors still hold shares in
the defunct insurer, though he refused to disclose more details
